Princess Jeongmyeong (Lee Yeon Hee) suggests she will support Yi Gwal's desire to set a new king on the throne if he sends back half of the elite troops to guard the country's border.
The traitor threatens her that Hong Joo Won (Seo Kang Joon) will be beheaded unless she capitulates to his demand.

Do you recognize Jeongmyeong's hair in a bun?
This is called Ttoya Merori, a hairstyle for the married women of the palace as well as the officers' wives. She looks a little older than she used to.

Kim Ja Jeom (Jo Min Ki) and Jo Yeo Jung (Kim Min Seo) try to convince King Injo (Kim Jae Won) to issue a royal command to let dowonsoo (a temporary officer during times of war in Joseon and Koryo Dynasty) begin an all-out war against the rebel forces. The King is in the twilight zone because the people should be sacrificed to save himself and the establishment.

Joo Won and the firing squads are waiting in ambush behind the trees to make a surprise attack to minimize losses of the country's frontier guards.
The decision meets with opposition from the dowonsoo but Kang In Woo (Han Joo Wan) decides to be on his friend's side to do the right thing putting a knife in the general's throat.

I think in the TV series the most round character is Kang In Woo. I really like him because he is honest about his feelings and he is always supporting his close friend at the supreme moment although they rivaled each other in love.
